For teachers of the “Making in the classroom” project
In the spirit of an open workshop, various stations for free experimentation will be presented. Exciting and fascinating activities for the classroom will be explored using various tools and instruments, e.g. on 3D printing, digital designs (programmable embroidery machine), e-textiles, laser cutter, physical computing, robotics or product prototyping. The event is planned to take place on site (2G rule + mask protection), but under the given circumstances it can also take place online at short notice by guiding participants through the Maker Space with the help of a live stream.
In the DIZH project “Making in the classroom”, various modules for further training in “Making” (hence a creative digital design in the classroom) are being developed and tested together with the PH Zurich / Media Education and Computer Science and the University of Zurich / Plant and Microbiology. In order to promote creative open projects in the classroom, the focus is on the cross-curricular potential of Making and the integration of different subjects such as Media and Computer Science, Textile and Technical Design and Biology. These newly developed Making modules will be implemented with teachers from our partner schools from March 2022.
