Training spatial thinking in a playful way

Spatial visualisation is very important for orientation in space. How can this be trained? Game-based approaches, particularly from game design, can be particularly effective in teaching spatial understanding. The Spatial Abilities project team is developing interactive, virtual and three-dimensional training software as part of a video game. The game-based virtual environment provides sequential exercises that train and improve spatial thinking and make individual progress measurable.

In the video, Ulrich Götz (ZHdK Game Design), Andri Gerber (ZHAW Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering) and Natasha Sebben (ZHdK Game Design) talk about the project.

The project is being funded as part of the 2nd project call in the innovation program.
