Lesley Spiegel will hand over the management of DIZH at the end of November 2024. After starting in April 2020, Lesley has built up the DIZH office and driven forward DIZH’s activities in all areas. Committees, processes and funding instruments were established. One important step was the introduction of the innovation program, which has been running successfully since December 2020 and promotes innovative projects at the partner universities.
With her commitment and expertise, Lesley has contributed to making the DIZH a dynamic network of Zurich universities today.
From 1 January 2025, Dr. Birk Weiberg will take over from Lesley Spiegel as managing director. Birk brings with him extensive experience in the areas of interdisciplinarity and transformation, which he currently applies as a project manager at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). He was previously active in teaching, research and third space at the ZHdK and was a member of the Digital Council.
