Rapid Action Call: Smart Spaces

The Canton of Zurich faces the challenge of providing affordable housing, flexible workspaces, and sufficient space for education and culture. We are looking for practical projects that use digital technologies to develop innovative solutions for this spatial scarcity.

We support initiatives that leverage digital tools and user-centered approaches to make living, working, learning, and cultural exchange more sustainable and socially equitable. Possible topics include:

  • Affordable housing: Platforms for space optimization & increased transparency
  • Flexible workspaces: Digital sharing models for co-working & university use
  • Educational & cultural spaces: Smart planning tools & participatory concepts

Projects with a duration of 12 months can apply for funding between CHF 15,000 and CHF 75,000 from the DIZH special credit.

Submission deadline: April 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM
