The Ethics of Drone Design

We warmly invite you to an upcoming lecture by Dylan Cawthorne, an author, activist, and researcher who specializes in ethical principles concerning the design and prototyping of drones. In «The Ethics of Drone Design» Dylan delves into the intricate ethical questions that arise throughout the entire lifecycle of drones, from their initial design and development to their deployment in various domains. From their initial conception and development to their deployment in diverse domains, this book offers a comprehensive examination of the moral implications and the societal consequences of this technology.
The lecture will be held in English followed by Q&A an it is aimed at individuals intrigued by the ethical aspects of technology and those enthusiastic about the future of drone design. The event if organised by DIZH LINA, an interdisciplinary research project, which focuses on providing infrastructure for the development and safe testing of autonomous systems.
