
Dr. Birk Weiberg
Managing Director
Birk Weiberg has been Managing Director of the DIZH since January 2025. Previously, he worked as Project Head for Interdisciplinarity & Transformation at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, as Project Manager at Foundation SAPA, Swiss Archive of the Performing Arts, and in research and teaching at Zurich University of the Arts. He studied Art History, Philosophy and Media Arts in Karlsruhe and Berlin and received his PhD from the University of Zurich. His interdisciplinary interests focus on the entanglements of digital technologies with research, culture and society.



Dr. Helge Johannssen
Coordinator office Innovation program
Since March 2023 Helge Johannssen coordinates the DIZH Program Office Innovation Program. In this role, he is responsible for planning and implementing the calls and for advising the applicant and grantee communities. Helge studied Human Biology and Neurosciences before obtaining his PhD at the ETH Zurich in the field of measuring cellular networks with optical methods. Following steps as research fellow and lecturer, he continued to specialize in scientific network management within the framework of an EU-funded innovative training network. At the forefront of digital transformation, Helge enjoys the regular personal exchange with various DIZH stakeholders.

Lisa Zahner
Innovation program
Lisa Zahner has been working in the DIZH Program Office since November 2023, where she is responsible for the life cycle management of funded projects and supporting the innovation program. Lisas interest in digitalization and interdisciplinarity stems from her studies in history and gender studies, which awakened her enthusiasm for interdisciplinary exchange and the integration of digital technologies into social structures and processes. Prior to this, she gained experience as a teacher, in administration and accounting and in the office of the “Cardossier” association.
